Avoid Sucrose and Caffeine - replace with healthier alternatives

Number 10 of 12 Eating Principles

Lees hierdie bladsy in Afrikaans

Sugar and caffeine often go together in beverages, fizzy drinks and candy bars. These foods function as a drug and interfere with your body's ability to communicate its needs to you providing a false pick-up. Keep your energy levels up by feeding your body correctly. For example, the sugars in fruit support the immune system. The need for these sugars can often be mistaken for a sugar craving that leads to indulging on sweet treats.

If you want to create the same high that you get from sugar and caffeine, eat and drink green. Green leaves are alkaline and creates a zing that does not let you down. Other alkaline products that can help you reduce the fatigue, stress and depression that goes with too much acid in your body, try calcium and magnesium supplements and barley grass juice powder.
